Well I'm personally a big Charlie fan...even though he may have a tendency to get annoying...

He's an interesting character, you never really know what's going through his head, but you can be sure it has the word 'bloody' in it. Smile

Personally i don't like him.
I liked him through all of season 1. In season 2 he became dull, boring and his stories got repetitive.
I also hated the episode "Fire + Water".

However, each to their own opinion I guess!

I agree. Charlie doesn't really have a big role and F&W was probably the worst episode to date!

I personally think Charlie is pretty cool as they come, maybe that's because I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan and keep seeing the hobbit Merry.

Still, he's cool, and darn lucky.

Although granted, Fire and Water was without a doubt the worst Lost episode ever. Only saving graces were the dream and flashback dancing in nappies sequences.

I have to agree tho, I dont like charlie this season, but I thought he was great in season 1. Hope he sorts himself out soon. Sad

it is cause i love claire but i want to see her with someone good, not some druggy, if he cleans himself up and stops keeping secrets then he's all claires. but only if he does those 2 things, not before or not just 1 of them.

I am a huge Claire fan but Charlie i dont really like. He is alright, sometimes he is quite (Or amazingly) funny but other times i just want him to die. I think the Claire and Charlie storyline is interesting but i have become such a huge Claire fan that whenever Charlie lies and hurts her i find myself wanting to kill the little bugger myself. but i think that once his lies stop and he starts to actually care for Claire instead of this pathetic crush he has then maybe i will start to like him.

I just think Claire could do better. He was nice and kind in the first few episodes of season one and i liked him a bit in them but he has just gone down hill since "fire + water"or sooner. i have just ben reading the transcript to Abandoned and i found some shocking events in there that will turn even the most dedicated Charlie and Claire shippers sailing.

It gives away a bit of my fanfic but......Charlie finally looses it with Claire because she wakes Aaron up to see who screamed. Charlie thinks he is Aarons father and says that Aaron wont sleep for the rest of the night and will be fussy all day. He really has a go at her and practically calls her a bad mother. it made me sick.

I do agree that Charlie is very stubborn and a little selfish at times, but when he gets over that he's really sweet. I think he's a little too protective for Claire at times,but all in all, Charlie's a sweet little Hobbit. Smile

I'm not ashamed to admit that I've been close to tears with all the deaths so far, but (luckily) none of the dead characters were too near the top of my favourites list, so I 'pulled through'. Charlie might affect me a wee bit more, though I am half-expecting it to happen, so maybe not. If anything happens to Claire, Sayid, Desmond, Juliet or Sun, then it will be a different story...

I think it will be Locke but It couldnt have been a flash forward unless that one flashback wa the flashforward and not all the flashback in the episode as Jack says something along the lines of "Why dont you bring my father down here and then see who is more drunk," So that means that Christian shepard is alive right?

Well he did go from wanting to kill himself to taliing to Kate about gettingon planes just so he voul pray that one of them crashes again.

I dont know whether that means he is getting better or worse but it means something is happening and its all down to the drugs.

Why would Jack go to ben's funeral. It was just the wy he was talking about it to Kate aswell that made it seem as thought it was sawyer.

What about Locke's funeral? That would almost explain why no one else showed up (I mean, he doesn't exactly have any family that would turn up). And perhaps that's why his death affected Jack so much - He realised Locke was right about not leaving the island and wished he had listened to him.

Locke's my other idea. but think about it, Jack wants to go back to the island. Ben is probs the only one who can get him there. he dies Jack goes to kill himself. Ben is neither friend or family. & Kate wondered wtf she wouldve gone.
also, hopefull thinking, but i think Kate & Sawyer stay together after rescue. i think Sawyer's the 'he' she was referring to when she says 'he'll worry if im not back' or something like that...
..& wtf wasnt she locked up?? she would still be wanted & have been easily recongnized & noticed/found after rescue came...

Something else I noticed is that the coffin looked slightly small, that made me wonder if it could be Ben's???

I guess we'll find out some time in the next 3 seasons.

I actually thought it looked a bit smaller than your ordinary coffin too, but I wasn't sure if it was just a dodgy camera angle that made it look like that or not...

I think there is nothing to the size of the coffin. I think it's just the camera angle or something. This keeps getting talked about all over the internet when it states in the newspaper clipping a "MAN" found dead. it didn't say a boy or a small person or a man with out legs, or any of that. I think every one is making way too much of this.

Oh you would be surprised at some of the stuff I have read on this subject, some are even saying Juliet, i can't believe people do not think before they tallk (type) I'm just going to wait and see, I will put my 2 cents worth in. it could be Michael (him changing his name to protect himself) since it said he left a teenage boy behind. Just what was in that newspaper Jack was reading on "Lost's" season finale?

In Wednesday night's season finale of "Lost," Dr. Jack Shepherd (Matthew Fox) was flying into Los Angeles when a newspaper story caught his eye. He tore the story out of the paper and was so distraught by its contents that he was driven to the brink of suicide. Though we as viewers never got to read the story that upset him so much, we got to see in wrenching detail the emotional aftermath it caused.

What newspaper's writing could have such an effect on a man? Why the L.A. Times, of course.

Thanks to eagle-eyed -- and scarily obsessive -- fans online, a partially obscured headline led armchair "Lost" sleuths to the Times' doorstep. Not wanting to turn away such a dedicated following who have to deal with enough frustration in watching the show, we provide you with at least one answer to "Lost's" many, many questions: the newspaper page Dr. Jack was reading at the opening of Wednesday's episode.

It was in the the L.A. Times newspaper
here is what it said:

"The body of John Lantham of New York was found shortly after 4 am in the 4300 block of Grand Avenue.

Ted Worden, a doorman at the Tower Lofts complex, heard loud noises coming from the victim's loft.

Concerned for tenants' safety, he entered the loft and found the body hanging from a beam in the living room.

According to Jaime Ortiz, a police spokesman, the incident was deemed a suicide after medical tests. Latham (sic) is survived by one teenaged son."
