Hey guys! Hope everyone is coping with the hiatus as best as possible. I'm going through some serious Lost-related withdrawl at the moment, but hopefully the arrival of the season 4 DVD in just under two months (For the UK, at least) can help with that.
Anyway, as those of you that have been on here lately have probably noticed, the forum has been...well, dead, not to put too fine a point on it. Obviously, this is less than ideal, since a place like Lost Island should be the first place we want to visit when it comes to coping with a hiatus. Well, just to keep you all at least a little bit occuppied, I'm currently working on a small..."project" that might ease your hiatus pains. I won't go into too much detail just yet, but it involves testing your Lost knowledge through means of a light-hearted competition with no real prize at the end other than bragging rights. Sounds simply glamorous, doesn't it?
Also, to save me the trouble of starting a separate topic (Because that takes so much effort, I know) I'll mention my other piece of news here: On Wednesday, I managed to break my ankle by taking a tumble off a kerb and landing on it in a less-than-painless way, so I'm now hopping about in a cast and crutches and have been signed off work for the next few weeks (They said six, but hopefully I'll be back in action quicker than that). On the plus side, if such a thing exists, I now have more than my fair share of free time on my hands, which will involve very little other than sitting around on my backside all day, so I would expect that I'll can put in plenty of time to the forum. Not exactly reason enough to start doing a Highland jig, I know, but (Besides the fact that I wouldn't be able to do said jig anyway) I guess I have to look for something positive in this mess. I didn't post this because I'm desparate for sympathy, I just thought I'd share my latest adventure with you...

Re: Hi, Everybody!
Well thats tough Mr. Sawbucks. Because you are going to get nothing but sympathy . I am sorry your trip ended in such a disasterous way, and hope you get better soon.
I am all up for free tim, but it does become quite a drag when you have too much of it. I hope you can find things to fill up the time.
I am glad to hear that your idea will be taking shape soon. I can't wait to see it up, hopefully it will bring in new, and old members from far and wide.
I too get really bad lost-related withdrawl too in the hiatus's, so much so that I find myself forgetting about it completely. So pardon if my knowlage of lot is somewhat lacking. Until I get season 2 back off my dad I can't even refresh my knowlage of lost so far.
I hope more people come on to join in with this. i will try and advertise as much as i can to get the most out of the competition.

Hey, Tris! Good to see you back! Don't worry about not being on, since the place has been pretty much dead anyway.
Also, for anyone interested, I'm back to work next Friday (Hurray...?), but I will still have the cast on until the 21st of the month. But luckily I'm now able to hobble about without the crutches almost pain-free.

Thats good to hear Sawbucks. I bet even thr thought of going back to work is slightly pleasent to sitting around at home doing nothing.
And really don't worry about it Tris. Like Sawbucks pointed out it has been graveyard quiet around here for a long time.

Actually, whilst I have been going slightly crazy (Or crazier, maybe) sitting around the house all day, I haven't really missed my work. The only thing I'm really looking forward to is having an excuse to get out of the house on a regular basis. As for the job, and almost everything related to it, I'm not particularly eager to return to. I think that might be a sign I need a change of career, lol!

Sure seems that way. Maybe you should make a start on that Uberella salesman spot they are having outside venues where Rhianna is singing "Uberrella".

Thanks for the tip, but I've promised myself I won't be drawn back into the umbrella business. Not after what happened the last time...
