Looking Back (PB&J fic)

Claire sat on her couch watching Aaron play on the ground. It had been about a month since the rescue. As thrilled as she was to be rescued she almost missed it now. All she could think about when she was on the island was how that wasn't the place to raise a baby but being back home now, she realized there isn't a better place. Well, if you ignore the fact that the island was inhabitted by polar bears, monsters, and Others. She missed the island. The beach, the jungle, all of it. But most of all, she missed him.

She thought back to the first time they'd talked when he'd offered to help her move her luggage and stuff. She thought about the cute, small smile he'd tried to hide when he found out she was single. About how after she'd told him the only thing she craved was peanut butter he went and got her the closest thing he could find to it: Imaginary Peanut Butter. She remembered sitting there with him, both of them savoring the imaginary peanut butter. When Ethan came after her, he was right there doing all he could to protect her. He was the one who saved her baby after he'd been taken. He did everything and anything he could for her. She smiled. She got up grabbed her phone and went over to her computer. She got the number she wanted and dialed without hesitation.

"Hello" Said a the famililiar British accented voice.

"Charlie? Its Claire Littleton. From the crash"

"Claire!" His voice showed his excitement.

"Yeah. I really miss you. You think we can come see you soon? Me & Aaron."

"Of course. I've missed you so much Claire. Though if you want, I can come there. We're off tour for a while and it'd probobly be easier for me to travel then for you"

"Well, just make sure you don't book tickets on Oceanic. I really want to see you" They both laughed.
