My birthday countdown

Ok, so, as you have probably guesed from the title my brithday is comming up soon and I decided to do someone special for it since it is a very special day.

The reason it is so extra special is because it is my long awaited 18th birthday. So to mark the occation I decided to make myself a little timer to count down to the special day. Hereh it is, my birthday countdown.

i don't plan anything, so as you can probably tell I have no plans for it yet. However i do share my birthday with one of my friends and she is throwing a joint party for us both which should be fun. But I still want a party with my family but havent decided that to do yet.

Ah but technically it isn't my birthday party as it is neither on by birthday or my own party. So really i don't have plans for my birthday party but I happen to have plans for a joint birthday party my friend is hosting.

Either way, you still intend on consuming ungodly amounts of alcohol in celebration of your "coming of age" at said joint party, so you do have some plans planned, be it your own or someone else's plans, so technically I was right. You were also right, but I see no gain in blowing someone else's trumpet, hence why the bit about me gets the flashy bold treatment.

Anyway, casting aside the petty and irrelevant debates I so dearly love, I realise that I haven't actually made a birthday countdown for myself. That being said, I do have until May to do it, so there's no immediate rush... Laughing

I'm staying in Loveland, Colorado. but now I only have to drive 2.8 miles to work, and it's a beautiful house. Huge walk in closet with a huge master suite, double sided fireplace in the dining room and living room. I'll see if I can post a picture of it.

Thanks everyone, Well it's taken me a lot of time to get a house like this. My kids asked me, why didn't we have a house like this when we were growing up? I told them because I spent all my money on you. now I dont have to. so I can afford it now. They're happy for me.

I know i shouldn't double post but its my birthday, give me a break. I was hoping my timer would put on a better show at the end but meh, it did its job. it reached 0. i'm happy because that means i'm now 18. Which i will fully celebrate with unimagionable amounts of alcohol on friday.

Lol, it is a little bit of a let down when it reaches zero, eh? Anyway, happy birthday, Blitz! I remembered this on my way home from work and was just coming online to wish you a happy birthday anyway (And strangely enough, I had a perfectly good reason to remember it, too. Don't get too used to "Rational Sawbucks", though: It was a one-time thing).

Anyway, I hope you have a good time whenever you get round to celebrating. Enjoy the thrill of being able to legally buy alcohol while it lasts, because the novelty soon wears off and it's not as fun anymore. Not that it stops me drinking enough beer to sink a freighter every weekend, mind you... Wink

It is a shame that you have to be 21 in America to buy alcohol. Thats one of the rasons why I enjoy being english so much.

As for the Over 18's thingy-majig on Lostie, almost nothing at all happens there, it's almost all posted on the other boards for all to see.

Nice try ben but this is how you take away those age blues, and god knows I have said this enough times to know.

You are as old as you feel, not as old as you look. Truer words were never spoken in my opinion. Cheryl is incredibly young at heart, I know because I thought she was atleast 20 something before knowing her real age. Now you could put that down to my ignorance but I think this time its not my fault I guess that. Cheryl makes even me feel old, and quite rightly so. Its good to know that you can still be that much fun at 50, it gives me great hopes for the future.

Lol, I had a great time last night. I went to a cricket club in Emliy and we had some music and flashing lights. I ended up dancing with a very attractive lass who i am never going to see again and managed to keep two of my friends from doing the worset mistake of there lives. I was the sensible one who didn't fall over at every given oppertunity and got very little sleep but atleast i didn't throw up this time Laughing

You know Blitz, I was the same when I first met Cheryl! I thought she was around our age.

I've just found out that I'll in Menorca for my 18th birthday. It's good but at the same time it kinda sucks because I won't get to see everyone until a few days later

That both sucks and rocks, Ben. Rocks because you're abroad soaking up the sunshine on your birthday, but it sucks because you won't get to experience the thrill of your 18th with all of your friends and whatnot until a few days after your actual birthday. Add the usual "post-holiday depression" onto that, and it dampens the experience even more.

I should point out that I'm not going out of my way to try and make you miserable, Ben...

It is a shame you wont be home for your birthday, but atleast you will be having the time of your life in Menorca. And you can always have a party afterwards, so it isnt all bad, you can enjopy both.

I used to go on holiday for my birthday a lot. We used to take the presents with us and I would open them there.
