Although I wasn't an Obama supporter I have to say that his Inauguration was amazing!!! A truly great ceremony throughout the day. It's also amazing to think that we are lucky enough to be witness this momentus part of history!!! And can I just add how glamourous Michelle Obama looked at the Inaugural ball!!! Also, thank heavens we're finally free of George W Bush!
Did you guys watch the inauguration and if so what did you think of the event?

Urrrmmm I don't mean to be picky or perdantic, but George Bush had not power in Great Britain, nor are you American Benjamin, so your statement is incorrect.
Anyway, now I have cleared that up I ca aswer your question, but first I have to ask, would you like the long answer or the short one?

I watched it all day. I loved it. I like how President Obama is very poised, he really does look like a President, unlike McCain would have looked. I saved the newspaper with the articles along with the papers from 9-11 and when we took Sadam down. I'm saving them for my grandkids and their kids, (apart of history for them)It was nice seeing history being made in my life time.

You're absolutely right Blitz, that is phrased wrong! Good on you for picking up on that! And I say, go with the long answer!
And Cheryl, I have to admit Obama is very poised. On the day I wondered what it would have looked like with McCain stood there and it would've looked very different. I think its great that you saved your newspapers, its a lovely sentiment and something that will be great for you're grandkids to see when they're older!

That sounds good. It was a huge day for America.
As for this long answer, I didn't see it, but I did catch a news report on it and that showed a bit of his vows.
I think thats a great idea Cheryl, saving a bit of modern day events for others to look back on in the future, like a time capsual.
