Tree imposter

It isnt tree because the IP is different and Tree isnt like this at all. this tree imposter is demanding that we tell him his paswor which i dont even know. his IP is .2.167 and has already insulted mine and sawbucks's positions as Mods.

Of course it isn't him!!! He obviously didn't realise his IP address was viewable and that we could tell he was impersonating various people. Also, once blitz and smokey discussed him being an imposter, he said "Please Sawbucks you have to believe me!" Anyone who has read my posts knows I'm about as gullible as they come, and he was trying to get me on his "side". Also, when he was pretending to be "tree56", he didn't include a website link with his posts, which tree always does! (It's all in the details Wink

yes i noticed that too. Its all in the details and clearly if this guy was a conman he would be a bad one.

Be on high alert members and staff, there is someone in the shoutbox who is impersonating other members and then being rude and abusive to the other members. Be on your guard always check the IP of the person who has posted before you. the Imposter has an Ip of .2.167 and is very rude and swears alot. you must report anything he says to a members of staff immediatly and we shall sort it out. Remember he has an Ip of .2.167 and will ask for his password to get onto lostisland which we dont have. He usually impersonates tree but he may impersonate others.

This is a huge situatiojn but do not feel threatened or offended by him. he is not even a member. please notify a member of staff of anything that he says and just carry on as normal. The Staff will deal with the situation so you members can carry on as normal.

I have an idea on who this person is. Possibly a guy from another forum I'm on.

Well you do that because it seems whatever chirpy has said about us on watchlost has angered a few people enough to do this to us. Once you are made mod you will be able to descuss this more in the staffroom but right now it must stay in here before we can investigate the situation further.

LoL! thanx for your protection blitz! why dont you move the shoutbox? i had the same problem at Lostie, someone pretending to be my members and writing disgusting things! as most of you know, lostie is hidden to guests, but my shoutbox wasn't, so i moved it! it's now hidden amongst the pages, so only members can see and post in it, granted not a lot gets "shouted" now, but it keeps peeps posting on the board rather than in the box!

It's probably the best and most sensible suggestion that's been made here! But that's up to the people who have the happy power of moving it!!!
