Can I have "Ravings Of The Disturbed Mind with Sawbucks"? A place to vent any less-than-sane comments that emerge. That way the sensible discussions are not clogged up with gibberish such as "100 pennies to the pound, but what colour is the inside of a meteorite?" and "I crashed my bike again yesterday; That's the last time I blow my nose in the cinema!" and so on and so forth!
Seriously, though, that does sound like a good idea. It's just a pity I'm not really a guru in any relevant subjects! But I bet there are people who are.

I don't mean to be rude, Blitz, but I don't really understand what you mean. Maybe I'm just being stupid, but could you explain what sort of stuff you would give advice on please?

A thought just occured to me...
I am quite the Lost addict, and also quite the weirdo. Why do you need to know this? Well, I have a tendency to take things beyond just watching: For example, I have written out the transcripts for the season 1 episodes for my own reference (It's quicker than putting on the DVD and searching for whatever you need to know!)
Anyway, I was thinking of making something in the shape of a Lost character encyclopedia - A list of all the Lost characters, with a brief description for each. It isn't much of a discussion point, but if it was posted on these forums, it would be there for reference if anyone spotted a character's name and couldn't remember who they were. It would also give me the satisfaction that what I'm doing is helpful to other people as much as it is for me.
Maybe it's a bad idea, though. Let me know what you think about it, and I'll get started on season 1 characters ASAP.
Thanks,
Sawbucks

Well, I can post them on here if you like? They are on my laptop at home, so I can't do it right now, but if and when X-Men_God gives the go ahead, I can throw them on. And I've just started on season 2 - Currently 3/4 way through episode 1.
So, what do you think, X-Men_God?
PS What do you think of the character thingy as well?

Just in case anyone doesn't understand what I mean about the character encyclopedia thing, here's an example:
SHEPHARD, CHRISTIAN
Father of Jack Shephard. Chief of Surgery who always believed that you had to be able to let go to be a successful doctor. Worked alongside his son, Jack, though was less than happy when people approached Jack to perform his “miracle” operations. Had a drinking problem, and was eventually ratted out by Jack when he caused a patient’s death under the influence of alcohol. Convinced Ana Lucia Cortez to go to Australia with him for protection. While there, Christian caused a disturbance with an Australian woman, and was later abandoned by Ana Lucia. While drinking in a Sydney bar, Christian got talking to James Ford, giving him advice to go and do his “business”. Later died of an alcohol-induced heart attack, though has been spotted on the island by Jack.
SHEPHARD, JACK
Beaten up at school as a kid when he tried to stand up for his friend, Marc Silverman. Afterwards, was told by his father, Dr Christian Shephard, that when he failed, he didn’t have what it takes. Grew up to be a spinal surgeon, working at the same hospital as his father. Seriously dedicated to his job, Jack worked hard to try and “fix” a woman who had broken her spine in a car crash. After the woman, Sarah, regained the use of her legs, she and Jack quickly fell in love and married just over a year after they met. However, word spread of Jack’s extraordinary skills, and people sought him to operate on things deemed ‘inoperable’ by most doctors. But while Jack was spending so much time at the hospital, he was spending less time with Sarah. Eventually, Sarah left him for another man. One day, Jack was called to the OR to work on a patient whom his father had been operating on. Jack exposed his father’s drinking problem, saying that Christian’s incapacity was what caused the patient’s death. This resulted in the loss of Christian’s licence, causing the downward spiral that landed him in Australia. Jack was shamed by his mother into going to Australia to bring his father back, but found him already dead. Jack was bringing his father’s body back to Los Angeles when he boarded the plane. On the island, Jack has emerged as a leader, as well as someone for the other survivors to look up to. Jack was involved in finding the tail’s cockpit, the finding of the caves, the torture of James, the search party for Charlie and Claire and also in the plan to trap the mysterious Ethan Rom. When Boone was brought to him covered in blood by John, Jack tried desperately to save Boone’s life. After Boone’s death, a rift grew between Jack and John, though they worked together to open the mysterious hatch in the ground. Once inside the hatch, Jack refused to believe the DHARMA Initiative story, though was shocked to see Desmond, whom he had met while running in Los Angeles. When Michael ran off in search of Walt, Jack set off after him with John and James. After their encounter with the bearded Other, Jack went to Ana Lucia requesting her help to train an army, though he disapproved of the violence on the man who claimed to be “Henry Gale”. After “Henry’s” identity as an Other was confirmed, Jack tried to trade him for Walt. Instead, he and Kate found Michael out in the jungle. Jack and Sayid planned an attack on the Others, and Jack, Kate, James, Hugo and Michael set off towards the Others’ camp. However, the plan backfired, and Jack, along with Kate and James, was taken captive.
SHEPHARD, MARGO
Mother of Jack Shephard, and wife of Christian. Convinced Jack to go to Australia to bring back Christian.

Right, I haven't had any feedback from Ben about this, so I'm thinking that maybe means that I should give it up as a bad job...
Oh, well, I thought it was a good idea. I might continue with it for my own purposes anyway, but I don't know if there's much...*Tails away unenthusiastically, allowing anyone reading this to stop feigning interest*

Oh, and blitz, I guess the same goes for the transcripts as well.
Oh, well, I enjoyed myself while the hope lasted! Maybe I'll take up needlework...

Thanks ellie! I've been doing it anyway, and I actually quite enjoy it, so I might keep it up for my own purposes, if no one elses. And maybe I'm just jumping to conclusions with the fact that I haven't heard from Ben yet - He is a very busy bee at the moment, maybe he hasn't had the time to look at it yet???

Yeah, and he hasn't actually rejected the idea either, he maybe has just been struggling for time on here, and if he saw an idea by me, he would probably be a little bit hesitant to read it anyway!!!
