If Desmond could change his past would he???...

Here's the start of it all....

'' I love you Penny'' Desmond said as he turned the key.... Not knowing what would happen... Not knowing if he could see day light again....

When he opened his eyes... He was OK nothing happened...

''Three.... two... ONE!, Let the race START!''

Desmond heard a man saying over a mircophone.

'' Where am I?'' Desmond ask himself,

Just then he knew where he was at... He was on his boat at the start of the around the world race.

'' This can't happen... Could it?'' Desmond said as he jumped off the boat.

'' What is he doing folks?, It seems as Desmond number 108 is done'' The man said over the MircoPhone.

Desmond ran as fast as he could to anywhere but there.

Was he in Heaven? Had he died?... Or was it something more...

When Desmond got to a little store in the middle of no-where He ran inside and picked up the paper... He looked at the date...

2001 Jan 18.

It was almost a year before he would crash on the island.

Over joyed Desmond couldn't wait to find Penny and make up for long lost time.

But why?... Him of all people... Why or more-over HOW did Desmond come to be here?... Was it the key... Or something higher?

The best person to ask for advice on fanfic is one of the moderators called "Blitz_rockon".

He'll be able to help you a lot if you ever get stuck!!!

Maybe you could even team up with him and write an episode together?!

Yes i am Blitz_rockon, or just blitz for short, i have nothing better to do than write fanfics about every lost episode. you can read them on created lost episodes. Im happy that someone else os writing fanfics here, if you need and help with them, i'll be here whenever you are probibly on. keep up the fanfics, it sounds great. maybe in the future you could write them longer. I have so busy but I'll update every few days.
Here's an update now.

Desmond was longing to get ahold of Penny.

'' Can I use your phone's? '' Desmond asked the owner of the store.

'' Sure son, It's 25 Cent's '' The man said with a smile.

Penny was getting married in a week, and Desmond was 355 miles away without a phone, Car, E-mail, and without anytime to lose.

Then luck came into play, A man walked in and give the owner $35.00 dollars.

'' Full her up '' The man said as he handed the money to the owner.

Desmond smiled and walked out of the store, He saw a old Ford truck at a gas pump, The windows were down, The key's were inside also.

Desmond waited on the other side of the pump for the man to full up the truck, And when that man was done Desmond hit him in the head.

'' Give me the truck or die sir. '' Desmond yelled at him,

'' Well at least you asked nicely. '' The man said as Desmond got into his car.

Desmond drove for what seemed forever, He was tired, But he had to get to Penny in time, When he got to her house, He couldn't wait to see her, He wanted to see her so bad that he didn't even shut off the truck, He ran to the door, It was locked, So he looked under the doormat and found a key. Desmond opened the door and started looking for Penny, But all he found was his old dog he give to Penny a very long time ago.

'' Hello Bud, I bet you don't know who I am anymore, But I loved...Love your owner. '' Desmond said as he picked the large dog up, The dog barked at him, Desmond didn't mind, But when the dog tried to bite him Desmond knew it was time to let him go, It was hard at first but he did it... But did letting that old blood hound go mean more?, Was it hard because he needed to let Penny go too, But he couldn't, His feeling for her will always last, And he couldn't help himself but dream he would be with her and they would be happy for once.

Tired with sweat on his back he REALLY needed a bath, So he got in the shower, Then he heard a nosie, The front door opened.

'' Honey, Are you home?, Why was the door unlocked? ''

Desmond heard a man in the living room, As fast as he could he put on a towel around his waist, And went into the bedroom, Then the bedroom door started to open, Desmond ran into the bathroom and turned on the shower.

'' Pen, Do you want me to join you in there hun?'' The man asked.

Not knowing what to do Desmond was about to swear but he didn't have time he had to get this man whoever he was out of here, What if it was the man Penny was going to marry?, Would he get the wrong idea? with Desmond being ONLY in a towel in the same house that he and his to be wife lives at.

Then the back door opened.

'' I couldn't get into the front door Babe, You must of locked it on me''

Desmond heard Penny talking, Then he heard a kiss, He couldn't help but roll his eyes. Then he heard laughing.

'' Let's not do this in the living room... The bedroom is more the place. ''

Desmond heard the man say. Then he heard Penny say '' Let me take a shower first ''. Desmond was about to freak at this point.

'' But didn't you already I heard the shower water on '' The man said. By his tune you could tell he was confused. Desmond waited for something to happen,Then the bathroom door opened and some man hit Desmond with a baseball bat, And Desmond was out cold, When Des woke up he was in the living room and Penny was smiling at him.

'' Dear Des, Don't you know by now to knock? '' Penny said with a smile.

'' Did your man get an wrong idea? '' Desmond asked.

'' No, Why would he?, Desmond what do you want? '' Penny asked.

'' I need you Penny, I want you all of you, I can't sleep without you and I can't be without you, I want to wake up to your smile knowing tha you love me and only me and if you get married I will never have that Pen, And I know you want it too, If you could only see how I would be without you, It would make you change your mind-''

Penny cut Desmond off.

'' I waited, And waited and waited but I am done waiting Des, Now I am happy,your here, And I want you here but I can't marry you Desmond if I did- I want to know where I would be in 50-20 years but with you I will never know, and I love you but you need more. '' Penny put her hand on Desmond's Face.

'' What?, You need more then love?, Love is what makes the world go around and Penny, I was in a snowglode, And it wasn't fun and I died- But now I want to live with you, Die with you WHATEVER, Just come with me we will run away. ''

'' Are you really going to take my wife away from me, In front of me, Where are matters these days? '' The man said to Desmond.

'' Oh, Yes, Sorry, Desmond this is Anthony, My-My-Dear Friend. '' Penny told Desmond.

'' Yes, Well Des here will be leaving. '' Anthony said.

Desmond got up and got his things and started to leave, forgetting to change back into his old jeans and t-shirt.

'' I didn't know he was leaving, I thought he was staying for dinner. '' Penny said to Anthony.

'' I didn't know he was staying also. '' Anthony was trying to keep clam but Penny could tell he was pissed.

Later that night Anthony gave Desmond a pair of his jeans and an t-shirt.

'' Keep them. But there's one thing your never getting, And that's Penny, She loves me and not you ' pretty boy ', So back off, and Tonight go away, Go on and bus and never come back, I'll pay you off, So if you want to live take my money, And go '' Anthony said with a wicked smile on his face.

'' You can buy alot of thing's with money, But you can't buy love, You can't pay me off because it doesn't matter about money, It matter's about Penny, So ' pretty boy' I am here and am here to stay.'' Desmond turned around and walked into the living room, He knew it wasn't going to be easy, But no one told him it would be, Love is the hardest thing to find... and even harder to keep.

you have an excelent story line but i think its going too fast, you need to slow things down a bit, like when desmond was at the race and then he arrives at here house, it might of been better if you would have put a bit more in the journey to pennys house. Apart from that, good job, i liked it and it was very good.

Penny was cooking, Anthony walked up from behind her and kissed her neck.
Penny jerked away from him, '' Desmond is here, What's the matter with you? ''
Anthony looked surprise, '' So because your 'friend' is here we have to act like we are some old couple?''
'' It doesn't brother me, I maybe join in. '' Desmond said with a smile, Anthony got red in the face while Penny laughed.
'' Dear Des you always were a joker. '' Penny said.

During supper no one had said it was so odd for poor Desmond, He didn't know what to say.

'' Penny you have such a wonderful home, I haven't been able to look in all of the room's let, I'll do that when your sleeping. '' Desmond joked, Desmond winked at Anthony. '' You mean 'WE' have a wonderful home. '' Anthony said to Des.

'' Oh, I just forgot it's funny because the last person who lived her with Pen was me.'' Desmond told Anthony as he took a bite of the salad he had on his plate.
'' Will you don't anymore Desmond.'' Anthony said with a grin. '' I am here now. '' Desmond said just to piss off Anthony.
'' What's the matter with both of you?!, Can't we just have our supper in peace?!. '' Penny yelled,

Everything came to a stop, Even the dog stopped licking himself. Desmond played with his food like a teenager all over again.
Anthony coughed, Penny put her hand around him this time Anthony jerked away from her.

When supper was over Desmond packed his things, '' I don't understand why you are leaving, Me and Anthony have a bedroom together, There is a bedroom you can have all to yourself Desmond. '' Penny said as she hugged Desmond, She hugged him a little closer then '' just friends''.

'' Penny, I don't want to ruin anything, One thing before I go, are you happy?. ''
'' I am happy Des.'' Penny said with no reason why she was happy, Or who she was happy with?, Or could she be happier?.
Desmond nod his head and smiled, '' That's all I needed to know. '' Desmond told Penny, Anthony walked in.
'' Are you leaving?. '' Anthony asked, '' Yes, I am brother. '' Desmond said with a wide, fake, smile.

The two men shaked hands, Anthony held on to Desmond's hand a little tighter then Desmond would of liked.

'' That's a good thing because I already called a TAXI. '' Anthony said with a wicked smile.
'' How did you know I was leaving I didn't even tell you I was. '' Desmond told Anhony.
'' I guessed.'' Anthony told Desmond with a wink.
Penny walked Desmond outside, When the taxi came Desmond knew Penny didn't want him to go.

'' I guess you have to...'' Penny said with a smile, She was forcing it.
'' Yes Penny I do, But I won't go away for long, I will see you soon Penny, I will see you soon. ''

Desmond got into the Taxi as Penny waved goodbye to him, The Taxi took him to Desmond's pad.
Desmond turned on the new's as he sat on his bed looking at the photo of him and Penny together.

'' And in other new's the Intemational Open Ocean Racing Association started today with number 108 a man named Desmond Hume ran off to only god know's where, Still no new's from him, Number 23 Mike V-''

Desmond shut off the TV. '' Alot of crap '' Desmond said to himself, He looked at the red light going off and on, On his phone, He pressed the button, Then a message came on.

'' Yo Des, What was up with the running?, Why didn't you do it?-''

'' Oh Chris, only if you knew..'' Desmond said to himself.

'' Also now that your here and all.... I know someone who likes you!, And she is hot... Well... I mean your think she's hot, It's my sister, You know Katie!, She's like wow, And she like's you!- So give me and call man laterz.''

'' Not again. '' Desmond said with a laugh.
'' I can't believe I would of miss this, And I would have miss you. '' Desmond said to himself as he picked up the photo of him and Penny, Everynight that photo was on his nightstand, So even if she wasn't really there he could still look at the woman he love's, And alway's will.

'' I love you Pen. '' Desmond said in a sweet low tune, He kissed the photo in the fame, And just sat on his bed looking outside at the star light night, Knowing that one day love will find him and will never let go.

Penny walked inside her home, It seemed so cold, so bare when Desmond left.

'' He's different.'' Anthony said with a laugh but he was the only one who laughed. '' You okay?.'' Anthony asked Pen.
'' Are you happy?. '' Penny asked. '' Yes.'' Anthony had a confused look on his face. '' Are you?'' Anthony asked.
'' Yes, But what if we could be happier?, What if my soul mate is out there alone, Thinking about me and how he loves me and how he want's me. Do you want me Anthony?'' Penny asked as a tear fall onto the living room floor.

'' I want you, I want you. '' Anthony said as he hugged Penny close. But he couldn't help but think about what she said, When she said he did she mean Anthony? or that freak Desmond who just walked into both of their lives?.

They both changed and went to bed in their bedroom, Penny sat up in bed looking at all of the photo's on the wall, All of them were of her and Anthony, Friends, And family... But what happened to the photo of her and Desmond?, The photo near the ocean, With her hair in the wind and his wide smile, The photo that was close to her heart. She woke Anthony up, Anthony was facing away from her.

'' What honey?, What is it?. '' A sleeply Anthony said as he rubbed his tired light blue baby eye's.
'' Where's the photo?. '' Penny asked Anthony, She was almost yelling at him.
'' What photo?, Lady I was trying to sleep I got work and-''
Penny cut Anthony off.
'' It's of Des and me, There's a boat and an ocean, Anthony I need that photo.''
The last line almost killed Anthony.
''You NEED it?!. '' Anthony yelled at her. '' What happened to you only need me and that's it?, And who is this Desmond just to come back into our lives anyway!.'' Anthony walked into the other room, While Penny started turning the house inside out.

Looking into the trash Penny saw the frame, It was broken, She took it out of the trash bag, it cut her hand but she didn't care, Blood was falling onto the floor as Penny looked at the photo.

'' I am going out Pen. '' Anthony said without even looking at her.
'' Where?.'' Penny asked.
'' I don't know what you want from me, So I am going to give you some time to find out. ''

Anthony then walked out on her. Penny wiped her blood off of the frame. And walked outside, Where she could think.
She looked across the road into a couple's window, They were kissing, They were happy, No, Not just happy, They were insanely happy, She never saw anyone so in love, But yes she did, Her and Desmond were like them, Very happy.

Now both of them with their own lives, Moving on, But she could never move on, She loved him, Always have and always will,

She looked up at the light blue moon, And the star lighted night, Wondering if Desmond was looking up and thinking about her too.

He was her angel, he saved her in everyway a person could be saved. Her was her hope, And no one not even Anthony could take that away from her.

Then at the same time, Desmond and Penny both said....

'' Only if ''....

If a picture paints a thousand words,
Then why can't I paint you?
The words will never show the you I've come to know.
If a face could launch a thousand ships,
Then where am I to go?

A little boy walking his dog stopped and looked at Penny's hand.

''Lady, Your bleeding. '' The little boy said as he pointed at her hand with blood falling on the grass.

Penny just looked at him not knowing what to say, Her mind was still on Desmond and no one other then him.

'' WALT! WALT!, STOP RIGHT THERE!. '' A man ran across the yard to the little boy, The man was in his boxer's.

'' What?.'' Walt asked in a rude way, Penny didn't know Walt or his ''father'' but she could tell that boy had no respect for his father.

'' Sorry, I am not very good at this father stuff.'' The boy's father said with a smile. Penny just looked at him and grinned back at him. The man took his boy and walked away.

'' I was just walking my dog, Michael.''
'' Dad, Walt call me dad.''
'' You are NOT my father!.''
Penny could hear them fighting from across the street.

'' Wonder if Desmond could hear this?.'' Penny thought, And she laughed at herself.

Desmond jumped when his phone rang, He picked it up.
'' Hello?.''
'' Des!, It's Chris!, Look where are you?, We have been looking for you!.''

Chris asked, Chris had known Desmond for 6 years, Chris was only 17... and ''mostly'' annoying.

'' We?.'' Desmond asked with a grin.
'' Yeah, Me and my mother.'' Chris said.
'' Chris, I am not dressed, Come back another time.'' Desmond said as he rolled his eyes WANTING Chris to just leave him alone for a moment, Desmond was busy trying to find out how he was going to get Penny back into his arms again, Because she was always in his heart. Then there was a knock.

'' I got to go Chris.'' Desmond said over the phone, Desmond pushed the off button on his phone before Chris could say a word.

Hoping it was Penny at his doorstep Desmond run his finger's in his long hair, And smelled his breathe, He needed a mint but no time, He took a deep breathe, And prayed it was her, The girl he had been looking for for all of his life. He opened the door and there she- WAIT there he was, Chris was at his door smiling while.

'' My mom dropped me off. Hey you got any food in here?.'' Chris starting looking for something to eat in Desmond's house but everything was gone.

'' I gave you all my food when I was leaving for the race Chris.'' Desmond reminded Chris.

'' You mean when you were going to go to the race, Des did you forget you chickened out.'' Chris said with a smile, Chris put his arm around Desmond.

'' I am happy you didn't leave man, Your the closet thing I have to a dad. ''

Chris looked up at Desmond with respect. His (Chris) father was on drugs, And over did it one night and never woke up.

'' I am so very happy I didn't leave also brother, I would of missed out on everything, Chris you wouldn't believe what happened to me!, I would of crashed on an island and-''

Chirs cut Desmond off, '' An island ah, With some hot redhead right?.'' Chris said as he sat on the bed.

'' No, No redhead, I woke up and I was underground with this man he said that I could be sick and there was this button and-''

'' WOW, Odd dream.''

'' It wasn't a dream Chris it would of been my life but I changed it, Now I can be with Penny.''

'' And now you can spend time with me right?.'' Chris said with a wide grin, Desmond nod his head and laughed.

'' So, The guy Penny's marrying, What does he look like?, Is he rich? poor?, Handsome?, Nerd?, Funny?, And are they happy?.'' Chris said all at once.

'' Slow down, First of all I don't know if he as money, He isn't a nerd, Funny... No... Happy... I don't belive she is... Handsome?... Yes... My luck right?.''

Desmond told Chris everything he knew about Anthony.

'' So... Do you have a photo of him?, This Anthony dude?.'' Chris asked,

Desmond pulled a photo of Anthony and Penny riding horse's together, Anthony was smiling in the photo but Penny just grinned.

'' How did you get this?.'' Chris asked as he took the photo into his hand's.

'' I got it from thier house, It was on their computer desk right in the frame I gave her.'' Desmond's eye's got wider.

'' Ouch man. Wait... I know this guy, But-''

'' You know him?, How?.'' Desmond asked.

'' Nevermind, I just mistook him for someone.'' Chris said as he bite his lip's.

'' Lair.'' Desmond said as he put the photo on his bed. Chris got up.
'' I better go my mom is waiting for me I told her I would be home by 11:00 am.''

''Chris, What are you not telling me?.''

'' Nothing Des, Just clam down I got to go my mother is waiting on me Desmond.'' Chris opened the door, Desmond shut it with Chris still inside. Desmond pushed Chris to the wall.

'' Your over reacting it's nothing Des really.'' Chris said as sweat started to run down his face.

'' How do you know Anthony?, How?!.'' Desmond only yelled at Chris because he was worried about Penny he knew Anthony stayed with her everynight... What if he wasn't the good guy like he seemed.

'' Desmond let go of me or I swear to god I'll-''
'' You will do what?, Go run to your mother.''
Desmond let go to Chris, Chris couldn't get away from him any sooner.

Anthony's car pulled into Penny's drive. Penny walked to the car as Anthony got out.
'' What do you want?.'' Anthony asked Penny. Anthony wasn't in the mood for game's he wanted to know the truth.

'' I want to get married Anthony.''
'' With who?. Me?. Desmond?. Is there anyone other then him I need to know about?.''
'' Anthony. Desmond is the only one I have ever cared about.''

'' What about me?, What am I to you?.'' Anthony walked inside the house with his eye's wild, Hair messed up, Dress shirt unbuttoned. Penny got into the car and drove... Penny drove to the place where she was safe, The place she loved the most.

Desmond couldn't sleep that night, So he got into his car and drove to the lake, Where he had a little sail boat there, Penny loved it out there with Desmond, He could see her under the moon smiling with her hair in the wind, Feet in the water and he saw her... He really did see her at the lake, Just as he saw her in his mind eye, Sitting there with her feet in the water smiling with the moon light on her face, and hair in the wind, Desmond wanted to take her away right then.

'' What are you doing here silly?'' Penny asked with a smile.
'' Looking for you.Why are you alone?''

'' You had a fight?.'' Desmond asked.
'' No, No Fight.'' Penny said, A sec later she rolled her eye's, She never lied to Desmond and she wasn;t going to start now.
'' We had a little fight.''
'' Everything will work out like you want them to Penny, No worries all right?.'' Desmond said as he put his hand on her's.

Penny looked at her hand, Desmond was holding the same hand that her wedding ring was on, The wedding ring Anthony gave her, Penny looked away from Desmond.

'' I love you Penny, Trust me, I would make you happier, You can be happier, And you will be... With me.''

Penny turned to Desmond, And slowly moved her face close to his lip's, Their lip's almost as one, Penny was moving so slow that Desmond couldn't wait anymore so he maded a move to kiss her but she turned away.

'' I am happy you are back Desmond. I would of missed you.''

Penny got up put on her shoes and started to walk to her car, And she left Desmond sitting there near the water.
Desmond ran to her and pulled her to him.

'' It's not over Penny, I am not going to let us die.''
