Where is Daniel?

So the last we saw of Daniel we saw him sailing the castaways to the freighter on the Zodiac and then Ben moved the island so my question to you all is where is Daniel?!

Personally I think he moved with the island. What do you all think?

I'm the same as you, Tris. It's definitely not the third option, because we saw him in the raft when the island-moving-light went off, and that was after the freighter exploded. Personally, I think he's still sailing about in the now island-free ocean, and he'll come across Jin bobbing in the water and will rescue him...

I put moved with the island. I guess I'm just hoping he did. I think out in the middle of the ocean could be where he is, but I'm hoping he made it back.

I think both are very plausible, but like you, cheryl, I just chose the one I wanted to be the case, so that he can save poor Jin. However, if I'm wrong, and Daniel did move with the island, I'll be happy at least that he is safe. Very Happy

Seeing that Daniel knows about "Time-Travel" it'd be cool if he has moved with the island but it'd also be cool if he is in the ocean and can save Jin! Very Happy

Very cool, indeed. Words cannot describe how much I want Jin to be alive right now! It's inevitible that the Oceanic Six will return to the island eventually, and I would love for there to be a pleasant surprise waiting for Sun when she got there...She needs something to go back for!

Anyway, Daniel seems to have more understanding than most when it comes to the mysterious ways of the island, so perhaps he will can find a way to reach it even if it has moved without him...?

as much as I don't want Jin to be dead, to me it wouldn't be right for him to have survived...though i still kinda hope he did...*mixed feelings*

I've actually been sceptical of his "death" since watching 'Ji Yeon', though that's mostly due to me being in denial, lol. At first, I thought the Oceanic Six had made up the whole story about his death and the whole thing was cover-up, and the reason Sun visited his grave was because it was the closest thing she had to Jin, who she had to leave behind for whatever reason. Obviously, after seeing the finale, we know that this is not quite the case, and that Sun, at least to begin with, believes Jin is dead. But is there a chance that she later learns he is, in fact, alive and on the island? My reason for saying this is her encounter with Charles Widmore: She said they had "common interests". Now, we know Widmore is searching for the island, so it would seem that Sun is doing the same at this point in time. What would there be for her to go back other than Jin?

How Sun fnds out Jin is still alive is something I'm struggling to come up with, mind you...

yeah, when i first watched it i just assumed that he was left behind on the island..now its all even more complicated.

In my defence, I am the busiest I've ever been at work right now (I'm having to cover for someone who's on holiday, as well as do my own job) so my brain is quite frazzled and very slow. Nice thinking, Tris, that's one less hole in my "Jin is still alive" theory. Laughing

Indeed it is, but I fear that it will go the same way as the rest of my theories (Logical or otherwise) and will be blasted to hell when the writers pull out a storyline we never saw coming... Laughing
