The best character on the show. I love everything about him, like the way he seems to know everything about the island and he isn't afraid of the monster. Very weird. I can't wait for a few more flashbacks!

Ok, Locke said something that he said waaaayyyy back in season 1 but I forgot about it till I heard it again in the latest eppy.
He said to Eko about Boone's death "his death was a sacrifice that the island demanded"
Does this mean that he knew that Boone was going to die and that the island told him to send Boone to his death?[/u]

Most probably but then again he was saying Boone get out a lot didn't he. He did try and save his life.

I don't think the island told him to make Boone a sacrifice.

But he did have a vision about Boone, which I suppose the island gave him......

Can anyone tell me if we have learned yet why Locke doesn't (didn't) have use of his legs. I have been wondering this and thought maybe I missed something in one of the eppys.

No we haven't yet which is very surprising, cause I thought we'd have found out in the last eppy, considering it was Locke-centric.....

I'm sure the producers said we would find out this season. Looks like we're going to have to wait for the second Locke-centric episode of the season. I'm really looking forward to finding out though.

watch the "?" mark again, locke says "Boone. Boone made it fall. Then he died. A sacrifice that the island demanded" in those exact words. Its when him and Eko are talking just after Eko stands on the vergin mary statue.

That's correct. But keep in mind the fact that "Henry Gale" had been filling him with doubt over the computer's importance for a while now, and he was starting to lose faith in the island. You can tell by his tone when he says it that he is perhaps doubting his beliefs back when he and Boone were trying to open the damn hatch, feeling that maybe it wasn't destiny after all.
I'm just glad he realised he was wrong in the season 2 finale and set back off in the "Man of Faith" direction again!!!!

You know I always thought Locke would be the one to be killed by the monster. I mean he is my fav character but yeah he seemed the one right to die at the monsters hands or better yet, he may still! It just seems the right way to go after him not dying in the Hatch Implosion whihc would have been a great way to go...

Nah, before season 3, when a fan asked if he was dead after the implosion, Damon said "How stupid do you think we'd have to be to kill John Locke?"
They still might kill him, and just admit they are stupid though...
