A Second Chance

Shannon. The one thing in life that Sayid cared most about. He couldn't go 4 minutes without thinking about her.

Sayid had spent years building wall around his heart. The only person who broke threw those walls was Nadia, and that was because he knew her before these walls were built. Then his plane crashes on this island, and Shannon breaks down those walls in less than five minutes.

Its ironic how things work out. The plane he was on was headed to America where he would meet Nadia. Yet now here he was with a girl who owned his heart.

She wasn't someone he would have ever considered being with before. They were nothing alike; except the feelings they shared for each other and their hate for their pasts. She was rich, spoiled, and blonde. He was a soldier, torturer none the less, and Arab. But none of this mattered. Neither did their pasts, because on this island you get a second chance; a second life, and all that they wanted in their new lives was each other.

The fact that her brother, Boone, despised him and his relationship with Shannon didn't bother Sayid the least. Boone's threats were meaningless, because nothing could keep Sayid away from Shannon. Even if they ever got rescued he wouldn't ever leave her side.

Crashing on this island just might have been the best thing that ever happened to Sayid. He got to escape his terrible past and start over. And best of all, he met Shannon. Had they never crashed he would never have met her; and that was something he didn't even want to think about. He got his second chance, and that was good, but having Shannon in it made it great.
