Brand new Lost island Role play (Planning)

Ok guys, Ben surgested that w start a roleplay to keep us busy over the hiatus. (Although some of you will probably be busy until lost is back on anyway) So I decided that the sooner I start the planning the more time we will have to plan it before we launch it. Obviously at a suitable time for everyone.

So In light of the previous roleplay's w have done. i have deided that this time there is going to be a slight change. We have done a roleplay just using the origional lost charicters an we have done one not including the charicters at all. So this time I think we need to combine the two and have it so that if you so choose you can play as an origional lost charicter but the more adventerous people are welcome to create there own.

Just to give you an idea of what is going to be in this roleplay here is a list of things I am noping to include.

A Map of the island itself (Just to give people an idea of the distance of each place, making it easier to write a journey and its length.

All the losties plus any created Charicters.

The roleplay will follow the script to lost but because it is for fun the magical thing is you can change parts of it so that it makes it more fun. However people will eventually have to die at some point in order to keep the realism to the roleplay.

I shall leave you to get on with creating your charicter as I am running out of time. the basic structure should include.

Age:
Nationality: (Place of birth)
Currently living:
Occupation:
Relationships: (marital status, Losties met/seen dont say where or how.)
Personality:
Suitcase: (Clothes, hair brush, money, sun cream, Basic essentials.......)
Sated: (Cockpit, Fuselage or tail will be fine)
Traveling with anyone: (Yes or no, if yes say who and if possible create a basic charicter structure for them.)
Other: (Anything else you want o add, including reason for being in australia, reason for traveling to L.A. Any training or licenses such as fire arm license although none of these are essential and dont have to be mentioned.)

Ok guys, so now you know what I am hopping to add to this Roleplay, we can move on to a more serious note. The rules.

Because we are involving the losties aswell as our own charicters you will need to know 2 things:

Which charicters you can control,

And which charicters you cant control.

The Charicters will be split into two catagories. Neutral and starter.

NEUTRAL charicters can be controled by anyone. Neutral charicters are all the charicters that aren't someone elses starting charicter. So if you wanted to start as Charlie then Charlie is your starting Charicter. noone else can control him, speak for him or do anything with him. Only the person who choose him as there starting charicter is permitted to use him. If you decide to create a charicter, and you Create another charicter to go with your charicter then both charicters are clased as your starting charicters for th obvious reason that you are the only person who knows what ther past is.

STARTER charicters as stated above is the Charicter you choose from the start. You are only permitted to choose one Lostie if you have decided to choose a starter charicter from the losties but If yu have decided to create a charicter then all other charicters you create will belong to you and will be your starter charicters who you must control.

Now you know what both neutral and Starter charicters are here are a few rules that come with each Charicter catagory.

Neutral:

Neutral charicters can be controled by anyone.
If no one is controling a neutral charicter then that charicter will follow the lost script.
Players can decide to kill off any of the neutral charicters. However, they must have a valid reason for doing so and must first ask the other players whether they mind that charicter being killed off. Once a charicter has been killed off they will not return t the roleplay, so think carefully about who you want to kill off before you do it.

Starter:

Players are only permitted to have one starter charicter unless they have created other charicters.
If a player decides that they dont want to control both charicters then they can change one of there starter charicters into a Neutral charicters, which will follow the rules of neutral charicters above, the origonal player of that starter charicter must give the other players a brief background story of that charicter so that the other players are then able to use that charicter.
Starter charicters can be changed throughout the roleplay. This however must be a clear change and you must clearly notify all participents that you are changing to a different charicter and then state the charicter's name.
Starter charicters can only be controled by the person who chose or create those charicters.
If you do not move your starter Charicter then they will be classed as doing the 'Usual' This includes: Going to sleep, eating, talking with people on the relationships part of te Charicter bio, and doing something highlighted in ther bio like any hobbies they may have e.g. Swimming, working out.....

Lol I know thats alot to take in and I am sure you have questions but tht is why i started it so soon, so that we have time to answer some of those questions and sort ou any problems before we start, as well as finding out who is taking part and an in depth look at each others charicters, not including the past of that Charicter which can be revealing in flashbacks. Of course you are welcome to share your charicters past if you find writing flashbacks hard or just dont feel like doing them.

Well unless we get a sufficient amount then I dont think it will go ahead. I am sure we could find other ways to pass the time here on LI, roleplays just dont seem lost islands thing.

Hmmm well all this waiting around for new members is starting to become a drain on the existing members. I will wait until lost sgtarts, which hopefully will get us more members but after that we really need to start things because we cant wait forever.

Ow and dont bother with the lost role play site ben. I have made arangments with a friend and he says that he is going to make a private section on his RPG forum for a lost Role play and we are all invited. I will give you upates in here on how it is going but I am sure it will be a huge success. There is, of course, one tiny problem you may have with it ben, or hould I say two tiny problems. It wont be part of lost island, thus you wont actually benefit from its members unless you advertise over there. And number two, it is also open to the people from Lostie, since its going to be a Lost role play it is only fair that everyone has a chance to join.

The site is personlascivio.org and no that isnt a mistake, its the Role play site that the lost role play will be held. Just sign put and PM Kev and he will explain more. You could Pm me but that would be a waste of tme as I dont have any power over Persona and know as much about it as you guys.

Ow and this is probably the best time to tell you its actually Kev (Chirpy) who owns the site, but I am sure we can all work around these things, after all we are all mature people.
