amazing. as always.

each week, Sawyer somehow manages to make me love him more..

Jack being a workman= priceless! hahah

Sawyer telling Jack off was great

Sawyer hardly agknowledging Kate was a tad bit annoying..

i was about to hate Juliet when Kate's name wasn't on the list at first & i thought that Juliet screwed her over...though she probably wanted to..

Frank is such a great character

Ben is such a creeper!!

where was John Locke?!!

so much more, too lazy to type, as always, lol

I thought Jack's reaction to being told he was a Workman was pretty great. Though I think he may come to see it as a relief in some ways, since he will no longer be put under pressure to be a leader or make decisions.

The whole Jack/Sawyer scene towards the end seemed a bit childish (For both of them), if you ask me. Whilst I am impressed with Sawyer's leadership skills thus far, I thought him having a go at Jack was a bit unnecessary and, to an extent, unfair - I particularly thought him blaming Jack for so many people dying was uncalled for, since Jack always made an effort to try and save anyone who was injured (Including Sawyer, on more than one occassion) and were it not for him, the body count would almost definitely have been higher. However, I'm not just taking Jack's side for the sake of causing a debate; Like I said, I think Sawyer is quite an effective leader. It was merely him resorting to slagging off Jack that I wasn't impressed with.

There were a couple of times in this episode where I was getting too far ahead of myself and starting to get excited - Kate's name not being on the list was one of those moments. I was convinced Juliet had purposely left her name off the list to keep her away from Sawyer, but thankfully it appears that Juliet is not quite as evil as that.

The other moment was when Sun and Frank arrived on the main island and ol' Smokey was heard, I was panicking that we were going to get a follow-up to "Monster Eats the Pilot". Thankfully, Mr Lapidus lives to see another day. (And hopefully many more after that)

I was disappointed we didn't get to see Locke, though by my calculations, he wasn't really noticed by anyone until the first night after the crash, which is when Sun and Frank arrived on the main island, so it wouldn't really have worked to have Locke in the episode. Now that the different storylines (With the exception of what the likes of Ben, Kate, Sayid and Hurley got up to before the flight, as well as just where the hell Desmond has got to) have sort of caught up with each other, hopefully the next episode will move all the characters' stories forwards at once.

I really liked this episode!!!

The Jack/Sawyer rivalry was excellent and I think its really good how he's becoming a much better leader than Jack, though I'm really not keen on his relationship with Juliet. I'm sure Kate and Jack will both have stuff to say about that! Very Happy

I also really liked the scenes between Sun and Ben, I'm glad Sun doesn't fully trust him and how nice was Frank to go with her! Speaking of Frank, I was worried he might be killed when we saw him in the cock-pit with the co-pilot, I just thought, oh no it's gonna be like the pilot and he'll die! but thankfully this wasn't the case!

I like how Kate, Jack and Hurley were enrolled to the Dharma initiative and Jack's reaction to being told he was going to be a janitor was priceless! Lost comedy gold for me!!!

It was also cool seeing Christian Shephard again! I loved Frank and Sun's reactions to him! I'm also really intrigued to see if/how they will reuntite with the other survivors. Will they go to 1977 or will the others come back to 2007??? It's all very mysterious!!!

And lets not forget Sayid being brought in as a hostile! It's not looking good for him! I really hope he wont be killed off but I can't help but feel that the signs aren't going to be good for him!

Shame there was no Locke or Desmond but I'm sure we'll be getting their story soon!

A really good episode!!!

8/10!!!

now, i upfront admit that this is just me being in love with Sawyer & hating Jack but....Jack brought Sawyer's "verbal attack" (for lack of a better term at the moment) upon himself by initiating it. He was the first to comment and go off on Sawyer's style of leading &  for reading.

overall, i felt that it was just a continuation of their whole power struggle/feuding through out the series and was completely natural and almost to be expected...

Hey, there's nothing wrong with being biased towatds a character, Tris - The fact that I'm a Jack fan is most likely why I saw this as particularly harsh. I can't (And won't try to) deny that Jack did open himself up for criticism by questioning Sawyer's methods in the first place, I guess Sawyer just took this opportunity and unleashed a load of abuse, lol.

I guess you're right in saying that it's just one more incident of them "clashing horns" to add to the list...However, I always seem to enjoy the Jack/Locke "Science vs. Faith" debates more than the Jack vs. Sawyer moments, for whatever reason...

I always remember that in the beginning everyone looked to Jack to be the leader(whether he wanted it or not)  and I remember Sawyer always sitting on his ass reading, stealing, lying, trying to have sex with Kate, etc. Not wanting to help ANYONE but himself. So it's only natural for Jack to be feeling like he needs to do something. because that's the only Sawyer he knew. He's just now seen Sawyer after 3 years and thinks he's the same? Now that Sawyer has pulled his head out of his ass. (and I mean that in a good way) Everyone is looking towards Sawyer as the big hero, leader now. But Jack has not seen that side of him yet. Although us as viewers have seen the nice good side of Sawyer. I'm not trying to take sides because I really could care less about the two of them together, I'm interested in like Sayid, Locke, Ben, people like that.

You're right, Cheryl. Jack had leadership thrust upon him whether he wanted it or not, and Sawyer just sat back and looked out for himself. I guess it's only natural for Jack to be sceptical that Sawyer can be a true leader when he wants to be, though I've noticed that Jack hasn't really argued with Sawyer's methods much since returning - The scene towards the end of this episode is the only time Jack has really defied Sawyer in any way; He even went along with Sawyer's "new recruits" plan without any fuss. My guess is Jack is actually somewhat relieved that he doesn't have to deal with the pressures of being a leader. Maybe now he'll have time to find out his "destiny" that Locke talked so much about...

I have to agree that Jack/Locke scenes are some of the best =]

As for Jack, his hero complex disables him from letting anyone else be in charge & its only a matter of time before he feels the need to "fix" everything & be the hero....he can't help himself..

though i do see your point Cheryl & for the most part agree.

I mean I love the new Sawyer. I love seeing him with Juliete I think they make a great couple. I think Jack and Kate should stay together. or not, just as long as Sawyer stays with Jules and not hurt her.

I think Sawyer and Juliet make a good couple as well, and, to be honest, I had suspected it even from the season 3 finale. I was worried that Kate and/or Jack was/were going to ruin their relationship once they returned, but both of them seem to have more important agendas, so hopefully James & Juliet can stay together and we can lay the love quadrangle/square/rhombus/parallelogram/other-four-sided-shape to rest.

the only thing i like about Sawyer & Juliet together is how happy he is...other than that i can't stand it...though i think its more his life in general than just that he's with Juliet....
