I, for one, enjoyed this episode. Kate, who had been a great characters for four seasons, was starting to bore me, almost to the point of just plain annoying me. Once they returned to the island, when Sawyer asked her why they came back and she said "I don't know about the others, but I know why I came back" I dreaded that she was going to try and get back with Sawyer. This episode solved both these potential problems by revealing Kate's reason for going back: To find Claire. Her goodbye to Aaron was very heart-moving, especially her "Bye bye, baby" at the end. Now I hope she completes her "mission" sooner rather than later and we can have the lovely Emilie de Ravin back on our screens.

Hurley and Miles make an awesome double-act. Once Lost ends, they should make a spin-off of those two sitting down in a random island location and discussing various conundrums.

Although some people will no doubt disagree, I thought Jack was pretty good this episode. People are always complaining about how he always have to get involved and try to "fix" things, but they can't accuse him of that. At first I thought he was just being stubborn when he refused to help Ben, but his reasoning of letting the island do its thing without interfering was awesome. Jack is rapidly becoming a man of faith!

I too loved the whole Kate thing this time. I'm so glad she was going back for Claire and not Sawyer.

i still refuse to believe that she didnt go back for Sawyer....finding Claire just gave her an excuse so that she didn't have to admit that Sawyer's the real reason *continues in the wonderful state of denial*

while im in denial mode: Kate is Sawyer's girl..anyone else will always be secondbest

Haha, nothing wrong with a dose of denial here and there, Tris. I myself have been in "denial mode" several times with Lost, and occassionally I end up being right (Such as the whole "Jin is dead" scenario)

I'm sticking with she went back for other reasons than Sawyer. Her whole agenda has been Aaron.

well, the fact that she seemed quite upset when she learned that Sawyer & Juliet were "living together, like, not as roommates" & the fact that she hasn't done anything yet to support going back to find Claire only supports my denial...whatever i'm fine with it.

Okay, I'll finally get round to posting my thoughts on the episode! Razz

Anyway, I really liked this episode! I thought the Kate flashbacks were pretty good! I enjoyed both the Aaron/Mrs Littleton storyline and seeing her with Cassidy.
On the island, i thought the trying-to-save-ben storyline was excellent and I thought Kate and Juliet were superb in this episode! As for Jack, I thought he was being arrogant not saving young Ben but I do understand why he chose not to.
I was also very glad to see Sawyer decide to help Kate rather than stop her saving Ben. And the end was brilliant, it was great seeing Ben being taken off with Richard! I'm loving the ben/others origin story!

Some have said this was a "filler" episode (Like "Fire + Water" "SOS" and "Dave") but I thought that it was pretty good! Very Happy
