American Idols LIVE Tour ((aka: THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE)) |
|
mk, so I did the whole Go early meet Idols & stay after meet Idols things as well as the concert. It was all beyond amazing. I met everyone but Anoop and Adam
highlights:
- Seeing Adam Lambert live
- Meeting Kris Allen
- Seeing Kris live
- Seeing Kradam together on stage live
Review:
Michael: Started off the show well. He was much better than I remembered him being on the show. I thought he did a good job, especially since he opens the show. I though “Closer” was a really weird song choice for him before, but after hearing it he did well with it. I enjoyed his set.
Megan: All I can say is that it’s a good thing she’s pretty. Not a fan of her singing, never was. She looked great though; she’s so gorgeous. And she seems like a nice enough person. Loved that she ended her set by cawing.
Scott: Was great on the piano. I especially liked “A Thousand Miles”. His voice was better than I thought from the show; I was impressed.
Lil: Yet another one who was better than I expected. She came out & proved that she can really sing. “Single Ladies” was my favorite from her; it was up-tempo, fun & got the crowd into it a bit. I thought she was better than Beyoncé; I’m not a big Beyoncé fan but still. She looked great too.
Anoop: Anoop was alright. Not great, not bad, a bit above average; about what I expected. I liked his song choices though, so I liked his set more than I would have otherwise.
Matt: The highlight of the first half, not even close. Matt was incredible. His set was the first one that really got the crowd screaming. When he first started playing the piano the place went crazy; he’s such a good pianist!! He was great; such a great performer. Definately would love to see him again. ((If you get the opportunity to, take it!))
Group songs: Cheesy, yes. Enjoyable, I guess. The dueling pianos were really cool though & I’m glad they had that in there.
Allison: I’m really sorry to say that I was really disappointed with her set. She just shouted through the whole thing. Which was a shame because I really like Allison and just wasn’t impressed, despite how much I wanted to love her set.
Danny: Alright, so Danny’s got a good voice. There, I said it. His set was better than I’d expected & he definitely has his share of fans. But OMFG, the dancing = awful!! Slightly better than on the show, but it had nowhere to go but up. Also, his attempts to be Adam = MAJOR fail. I love both the Rascal Flatts songs he sang; well, I really love the originals, so it’s hard for me to judge his performances of them. Before his last song he starts preaching to the crowd about not letting hardships bring you down and to never get up on your dreams & I stopped caring about 30 seconds in..he went on for almost 2 minutes. Could've done without his speech but oh well. About halfway to three quarters of the way through his last song, My Wish, it started to sink in that I was really about to witness Adam Lambert, and not just on my tv/computer screen. I’d been anxiously waiting for Adam through all of Danny’s set ((while still somewhat enjoying Danny’s set)), but it had just hit me that it was really about to happen. Finally Danny’s set ended. There was lots of screaming, some for Danny but most of it was because people knew who was up next..
Adam Lambert aka The sexiest, most amazing, talented, incredible man ever to live: Before they even introduced him, I was already on my way to losing my voice, screaming like a crazy person. The whole place was filled with screams. The noise just kept building the closer his set got. The whole arena was screaming for Adam, getting louder and louder with every second. Adam owned the arena. Finally they introduced him and, hardly seems possible, the place got even louder. The noise was insane! When the familiar guitars of Whole Lotta Love started up I literally began to shake. He came out on stage and wow. Even though I wasn’t that close it was obvious that any picture/video doesn’t do him justice. The way he was riding the microphone stand was sooo hott and sexy; and he gave it some extra loving in Albany. The heat must’ve been making him even hornier than usual. ((It was hot in the arena. Quite a few of the Idols mentioned how hot it was. And I swear it literally got even hotter once Adam was onstage)) When he sang ‘woman’ I completely lost it. How I managed to not pass out during this song I still don’t know. Starlight & Mad World were beautiful. His voice is even more amazing live. He sang Starlight in a lower key than he’d been singing in at the beginning of the tour. Slow Ride was awesome. Him and Allison rocked it. And the Bowie Medley, just wow! The whole thing was amazing & incredibly sexy. When he took off his jacket I about died. His voice did sound a little hoarse, but he still sounded beyond amazing. I was shaking through his entire set. Once he was done the arena was still screaming for him long after. Seeing him was the highlight of my life.
Kris: It’s basically impossible to follow Adam, but Kris did his thing. It helps that his style is so different and it’s really pointless to compare them. But I love Kris so I was really excited to see him. And he was really, really great. He got a loud response from the crowd. I’ve loved his version of Heartless since he first sang it, so hearing it live was awesome, loved it. All These Things That I’ve Done was really great at all. Especially when everyone was singing along to “I’ve got soul but I’m not a soldier”. Ain’t No Sunshine was great, so was Bright Lights. People starting leaving during ANS. I couldn’t even consider leaving during Kris, he was half the reason I was there…well, fine 40%. But still. Anyway, there was no way I was going until after the show; I mean, Adam would be back out, twice. Hey Jude was great. There were tons of screams when everyone came out, especially when they put Adam on the screens. Kradam are just too damn cute. Kris’ set was really great and definitely my second favorite, as expected. I love him even more than I did before.
Don’t Stop Believing: Matt & Scott were once again great on the pianos. Everyone else came out and did well, but I was just anxiously waiting for Kradam to come back out. Finally they did. They’re so adorable. Adam did more dancing than Kris did that night, though they still were really cute dancing and having fun together. Adam didn’t go up for the stellar glory note, but it’s all good; his voice needs to rest, I understand.
After the show I met everyone but Adam & Anoop. ((Adam was on vocal rest & doctor recomendation not to, don't know what Anoop's story is..)) I met Michael before the show ((he was the only one to come out before)) and met him again after. Everyone else I just met after. Unfortunately I couldn't get any pictures with anyone, they weren't allowed to do pictures after, too rushed. some pics below. sorry this was so long, it actually was a lot longer, lol
