I'm sure it will be brilliant, Kelly. I'm looking forward to reading it. I know what you're talking about, blitz. When you were saying I should post my own episodes on here I was a bit hesitant cos you seem to have a reputation as THE fanfic writer on these forums and I didn't want it to seem like I was trying to "steal your glory" or something like that. But when you think about it, everyone has a unique writing style anyway and it is interesting to see how other fans tackle the episodes in their own way. And it's not like we have to be in competition with each other or anything - I, for one, would enjoy reading as many people's fanfics as possible! So, anyone else out there who has always wanted to write, get started!
Anyway, best of luck to you, Kelly, and I look forward to reading your work with the greatest of anticipation!

Pilot-Part 1
Someone was screaming. Rachel opened her eyes and realised the sound was coming from her. She was lying on the floor, there was panic all around her. People were screaming and shouting, she could hear the loud whirr of an engine or something above her head.
She tried to sit up, but she felt someone push on her shoulder, trying to keep her down. "No" said a mans voice "you should keep lying down, you have a huge gash on your head, your probably concussed, its better if you stay still for a moment". "W-what, who, I mean, where am I?" she stutterd. "I dont know" the man replied "all I know is that we were on a plane and the next thing, I wake up in a jungle to all of this". He waved his hand around to the scene of devistaion that surrounded them.
"Look" the man said, "I'm just going to move you somewhere a bit safer and quieter". As he lifted her up, she realised that she was lying next to one of the enormous jet engines from the plane, it was sucking up nearly everything in its path. "Right, you should be ok her for a while, just keep still and dont try to get up ok? I'm going to see if I can try to help some of these people out. If you need anything, or you feel any worse just give me a shout" Rachel let out a short sharp laugh "How could I possibly feel any worse?" she asked wrily, as she did, she took in the mans that was helping her, appearence for the first time. Tall with short dark hair, in a smart suit, under any normal circumstances,he was the kind of guy Rachel would find cute. But these wern't normal circumstances, were they.
"Ok, thanks for your help" she smiled at him, as he made to move away. He ran down toward the wreckage. "HEY" she shouted "Whats your name" He stopped and turned to look at her. "Jack, my name's Jack".
Rachel was still lying down, but there was too much going on around her. She attempted to sit up and was shocked by a sharp pain that travelled through her skull. She gasped with the intensity of it, she close her eyes untill it went away. She counted slowly to ten and then opened them again.
She wished she hadn't.
As she took in the scene of chaotic devistation around her, tears fell down her cheeks. She was on a beach, with the remains of the plane scattered everywhere along with people, she couldn't tell if they were alive or not. Everyone was rushing around, shouting to each other. Others screaming with sheer panic. There was so much going on, she couln't take it all in.
Flashback
*Tannoy* "This is the final boarding call for passengers of Oceanic flight 815 to Los Angeles, I repeat this is the final boarding call for passengers of Oceanic flight 815. Would all passengers chartered for this flight, please make your way to departure gate 4, thank you."
Rachel was standing a little way back from the departure gate. She didn't know what to do. She knew she had to go backsometime, but she was scared. What was the point anyway. She had no real friends in LA, no job, nothing.
"Excuse me Miss? can I help?" A stewardess at the gate called her out of her thoughts. "Huh, sorry. Pardon?" Rachel replied. "I said, can I help you. Are you for this flight?" the stewardess smiled. Rachel froze for a second. Now was the time to make up her mind. "Yes" she heard herself say as she walked towards the gate. "Yes I am."
Present
BOOM!!!!!!
There was a huge explotion to Rachels right. The engine that had been whirring had blown up. Suddenly it was eerily quiet for a second. Then she heard someone shout her name. "Rachel!" She spun around to see a familiar figure walking calmly toward her. "What are you doing here?" he said looking amused. "Oh my god Charlie! Thank god your ok! Why are you laughing?" she said angrily. "Dont you think this is crazy? You and me, not seeing each other for months, and then the next time we meet were stranded on a desert island?" he said. "Charlie, what the hell is up with you?! We have just been in a plane crash and you think this is a funny coincidence?! Are you mad?" she shouted. "Ok, ok, sorry, just calm down. Are you ok anyway?" he said. "Yes, I think so, at least, I think I can get up now anyway." Charlie held out his hand to pull her up. "Come on" she said "lets see if we can help out here".
By now people were calming down. Rachel made her way to an Isralian man who was making a pile with wood. "Hey, come here, I need help with this. Its for a signal fire" said the man. "Sure" said Rachel. "You too" the man said looking at Charlie. "Yeah, wood, fire, ok" said Charlie, "I'm Charlie by the way, this is Rachel". The man looked at them with interest "Nice to meet you, I'm Sayid."
Flashback
Rachel was sat on the plane wondering what she was doing there. "Whats the point in going back", she muttered to herself. But it was too late now.
She heard a commotion in the aisle behind her. "Sir. Sir. You need to stop now sir!" a stewerdess was shouting to a man who was rushing towards the cockpit. With a start, Rachel realised she recognised the man. She smiled maybe things wouldn't be so bad after all if she had some company for the flight at least. "CHARLIE" she yelled, but he ignored her. "Great, someone I know and they dont even know I exsist" she sighed.
Present
It was dark by the time the fire was ready and lit. Rachel slumped down beside it, glad of its warmth, she had never felt so cold in her life. "So what now?" she asked. "Now we wait" said Sayid "The fire will help the rescue crafts to find our exact location a lot more easily, it should not be long now". Rachel sighed , "I cant believe this has happened, I mean, I wasn't keen on going home, but this is a joke!" Charlie looked at her closely, "Why didn't you want to go ho" His sentence was cut off by a loud horrific noise. Rachel jumped up. "What the hell was that?" she said shrilly. "I dont know, but whatever it was it came from over there, and it was not good!" said someone to her left. Suddenly trees were being uprooted right in front of them. "Did anyone see that?" an austrailian girl ask. "Yeah" she replied. She watched the jungle carefully, seeing whatever it was get nearer to where they were all huddled together. Rachel didn't think it would be possible to be more scared than she already was, but she was wrong. Charlie came to stand beside her. "Bloody hell" He muttered.
The end

That was brilliant, Kelly! I really hope you keep writing - there's some really terrific stuff in there! And I'm looking forward to finding out about Rachel and Charlie's past together! Once again, well done and keep writing! I'm looking forward to the second part of the pilot already!

Still I thought it was worth a go anyways.

I never thought I'd say this but I actually hope there's not a lot on TV for a while so you can write more! I think the imagination is a wonderful thing, and Lost and all its associated fanfics are a brilliant example of the imagination at its best! Anyway, the whole Rachel-Charlie thing really is good as you haven't committed to what their relationship is - you can make it as complex, or otherwise, as you please!
PS "Nowt" is rather interesting word choice! I wasn't aware that they used that word down in Exeter!

Lol, I pick up words from everyone who I chat to
And silly me about the 185!! I knew that. What a school boy error!
I'll just go and correct that now.....

well its not a fatal error, i knew what you ment, and yes, the imagination is a wonderous thing, people dont realise they have one until they do something like this and they soon find that they do. i bet you cant stop writing fanfics now kelly, you are as i say "Yoa Addicted to writing Fanfics,"

Yeah, don't worry about making mistakes - it's part of being human. But if you're able to learn from those mistakes, you're wise, intelligent and a credit to the human race! (Like me, lol!). Okay, so it won't make a huge difference to the world now that you've changed the flight number, but it's a good thing to remember!

I mean it's good to remember the mistake bit, and not so much the flight number!

So, Kelly, have you decided whether to write more fanfics yet? I really think you should. Clearly you have a talent for writing/using your imagination! Go on, you know you want to!!!

I look forward to reading it. I'm going to have to get Walkabout churned out tonight, so it should be up sometime tomorrow. I've been thinking it over in my head for the last two days and I have that and White Rabbit planned out mentally pretty much exactly as I want them, I just haven't had time to type them out. Tonight should hopefully be the night, lol! Good luck for the rest of part 1. I can't wait to read it!

I know what you mean! This morning I was struck with a good storyline for later eppys and I shouted "Ho!" and the people I get a lift to work with looked at me as if I was mentally unstable or something!

Sorry to sound rude or whatever, but it's "Tabula Rasa". It's Latin for "clean slate". A fitting title for that episode, which ties in nicely with the song "Wash Away" (which plays at the end of the episode), I'm sure you'll agree!
